Cushman has a little common North of Amherst and alongside this common is the Cushman Market and Cafe. The market is open until late in the afternoon and the cafe closes in the early afternoon.
In this little old funky building you can have a variety of hanging out and dining experiences. With the market in the front, the cafe in the back and the patio on the side there are plenty of spaces to shop or refresh. Its funkyness is part of the charm.
The menu includes many coffee specialty drinks and teas, plus what ever you want to get from the market fridges. The market stores some prepared sandwiches and other foods so that you can gather together a meal if the cafe is closed later in the day.
They have a nice big breakfast menu including vegan options. There are a couple bakery cases.
I usually have breakfast and a nice journaling session in the morning with my large coffee. My favorite is the Daily, which is simply eggs and toast.
It's fast funky casual - and a step up from the ordinary.
